Ingredients:

This cake is made with a rich chocolate sponge prepared from all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, eggs, milk or buttermilk, unsalted butter or vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and coffee to enhance the chocolate flavor. The cake is filled and covered with smooth chocolate buttercream made from unsalted butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and milk or cream. It is finished with chocolate-colored fondant, white fondant for the book pages, modeling chocolate or fondant for decorative details, and edible gold paint or gold luster dust for the hand-painted accents.
